Our club used the contract option to keep forward Victor Khryapa (33 y.o., 203 cm) for another season.

The captain is not just the most experienced and successful player of the team, but he also has the longest history of playing for CSKA. His first stint with the Army Men started in 2002, he played total of 11 seasons in the red-blue uniform. The team never missed the Russian League title with Khryapa, won 6 VTB League and 2 Euroleague trophies. Victor trails only Jon Robert Holden in total official games played for CSKA (509 against 519). Khryapa was named to All-Euroleague teams three times, he was named Euroleague Best Defender in 2009, Russian Player of The Year and VTB United League Playoffs MVP in 2013.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We used the option of Victor’s contract and we are happy to welcome our captain back on the team. Victor is very important player for us, not only with his skills and experience but also with his wish and fire in playing basketball. I wish Victor to stay healthy and to keep the same motivation and level of effort on the floor.

Victor Khryapa, CSKA forward:
The previous season showed that our collaboration remains fruitful and successful. I will be happy to play one more year for my native club, to please the fans and all basketball lovers, and I would like to congratulate everyone with that.
