The Game 1 of Russian Championship semifinal series was worthy of the tournament level. Our team had to wait till the last quarter to take over a game against Lokomotiv-Kuban.

CSKA vs. Lokomotiv Kuban: 77-71 (+6)

Jonas Kazlauskas, CSKA head coach:
The game was difficult but interesting. It looked like we prepared well. We started with 11-2 run, but from this moment some of the players, especially reserves, started to think that the deal is done. And we had turnovers, bad decisions Still I want to thank the team for managing to get the win. Special thanks to our veterans who carried most of the load. I hope that the reserves will provide more help tomorrow. Sure, we were out of the rhythm because of Siskauskas injury. He had some problems with leg muscle after the game in Samara and unfortunately, we paid less attention to it than it was necessary. I tend to give more rest to Kaun who did not go through normal preseason and he is not physically ready to play long stints. If I am leaving him on the floor for long he doesnt look like himself.
